Bring your own cloud (BYOC)

Bring your own cloud (BYOC)

Keep your AWS account. Keep your data. Let Fovus optimize and orchestrate what runs inside it.

With Fovus BYOC, nothing about your AWS relationship changes. You keep your existing AWS account, direct AWS billing, approved regions, and governance controls. Fovus operates inside that environment, under access you approve, to optimize and orchestrate the specific workloads you choose, delivering time and cost optimality with ease of use for your scientists and engineers.

Available now on AWS Marketplace.

How BYOC works

BYOC is built around one principle: your infrastructure stays yours.

You keep control

Your AWS account, billing, data, and governance model stay exactly as they are today.

Fovus operates inside your environment

Under the access and controls you approve, Fovus handles setup, white glove onboarding, benchmarking, and ongoing optimization, available directly through AWS Marketplace.

You see everything

Every optimization is measured against a baseline you define and can independently verify.

The BYOC process

Available on AWS Marketplace.

  1. Select a workload. Choose one meaningful, recurring workload, CPU or GPU intensive work that runs repeatedly, and define what success looks like: lower cost, faster runtime, higher throughput, or less operational effort.
  2. Confirm requirements. Fovus works with your team to confirm AWS account and region, compute, storage, dependencies, licenses, security, and access model.
  3. Set up the environment. Fovus configures the agreed environment inside your AWS account. You approve the final access and control model before anything runs.
  4. Onboard and validate. Your workload, dependencies, and inputs are brought online, with correct execution and comparable output confirmed before any comparison is drawn. This is where white glove onboarding happens, with a Fovus HPC & AI expert working alongside your team.
  5. Benchmark and decide. Measured results are compared against your agreed baseline. You decide whether and how to scale up, based on evidence and benchmarking data, not projections.

Built for teams that already run on AWS

BYOC is the right fit if:

  • A CPU or GPU intensive workload runs repeatedly in your environment.
  • AWS is already in place, or there’s a clear near term path to it.
  • Cost, runtime, throughput, capacity, or operational effort is a real business driver.
  • One representative workload and a baseline can be identified.
  • A technical owner and a path to a scale up decision already exist.

You don’t need a completed technical deep dive to get started. Fovus’s team works through the qualification and planning with you.

How savings are measured

Every BYOC engagement is measured the same, simple way: compare your current baseline against the same workload run through Fovus, using the same inputs and comparable output.

  • Your baseline, your validation. You confirm the baseline, the measured result, and that the output is acceptable, at every step.
  • No inflated claims. If a baseline is directional or confidential, it’s labeled as such, never presented as a fully measured figure.
  • Re-checkable anytime. Re-run or re-benchmark the same workload directly in AWS whenever you want an updated comparison.

How the platform fee works

Fovus doesn’t charge a percentage of your total AWS bill. In BYOC, the platform fee is a percentage of the AWS infrastructure spend Fovus directly manages and optimizes, calculated on your post-optimization spend, so what you pay tracks the value delivered. Nothing else in your AWS account is touched by the fee. Rates, minimums, and billing cadence are defined in the commercial agreement.
